Cornwall Council-Backed Home Improvement Loans

Cornwall Council, in collaboration with Lendology CIC, is offering two loan schemes to help property owners improve housing quality and availability.

Home Improvement Loan

This loan supports homeowners, private landlords, and park home residents with works, including:

  • Roof and structural repairs
  • Damp and mould treatment
  • Solar panels and other green energy measures

Loans available: Up to £25,000 (homeowners/private landlords), £10,000 (park home owners)

Empty Home Loan

This loan helps owners bring empty properties back into use for sale, rent or lease*, or personal occupation. Loan options:

  • Up to £25,000 (monthly repayments over 10 years)
  • Up to £60,000 (bridging loan repaid within 2 years)

*Cornwall Council offers support with renting out your property through the Private Letting Service. Alternatively, the Council offers a leasing scheme with guaranteed rental income, with no letting or management fees. Find out more about both services here.
