Permit
1. Permits allow residents and local business owners/workers to park their vehicle in Churchfield Car Park, Camelford. No other car parks can be used..
2. Permits are only issued for passenger or light goods vehicles.
3. Permits are vehicle-specific. Holders can nominate one vehicle only per permit. It is not transferable to any other vehicles.
4. Permits are valid for the full calendar year, from 1 January to 31 December.
5. The responsibility for renewing the permit rests with the holder.
6. A permit does not allocate or guarantee a parking space at any time in Churchfield Car Park.
7. Permits are valid only in the White lined bays.
8. The permit remains the property of Camelford Town Council (CTC) and any abuse will render the permit invalid.
9. Photocopies or alterations to permits are not allowed.
Digital Permits
10. Permits are now digital and linked to your registered vehicle. There is no requirement to display a physical permit in your vehicle.
11. If you need to amend your vehicle registration details, you must contact the CTC office or visit Camelford Library with proof of identification and vehicle details.
Refunds
12. Permits are non-refundable. Once a permit has been purchased, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including changes in circumstances or non-use of the permit. Please ensure that you require a permit before completing your purchase, as all sales are final.
Closure of car parks
13. Any person duly authorised by CTC may close all or any part of Churchfield Car Park whenever it is considered such closure is reasonably necessary. Permit holders must not enter Churchfield Car Park once closed.
Penalties
14. Breaches of these terms and conditions may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being issued.
15. Serious abuse of the system (such as fraudulent applications) will lead to cancellation of the permit and may affect your ability to obtain future permits.
16. Contravention of other parking restrictions could lead to the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice, irrespective of a valid permit being held.
17. The reselling of a permit for profit is prohibited and will result in cancellation.
18. CTC accepts no liability for loss or damage to any vehicle or any contents.
It is an offence, under Section 115 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, for anyone to knowingly make a false statement to obtain a parking permit for himself or any other person. It is also an offence for anyone who with intent to deceive, misuses, or lends to, or allows to be used by, any other person a parking permit or makes or has in his possession any such thing so as to closely resemble a parking permit which is calculated to deceive.
Please note: CTC does not send reminder notices for purchasing a new permit. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to ensure that a new one is purchased with sufficient time, prior to the expiry of the old one, to ensure a new one is in place.
