The proposal involves the fixing of recycled plastic boards (baffles) 200mm high up the face of the weir and also proprietary plastic eel tiles up the left hand bank of the weir (looking downstream). The baffles would be arranged to concentrate flows and create turbulence to help fish pass over the weir, both up and downstream. The proposals also involve the cutting of a shallow notch, approximately 100mm deep, on the weir face as part of the fish passage improvement scheme
