We absolutely can’t have another building falling into disrepair in the high street. This terrible. I am an Estate Agent and we live in Camelford. I have very grave concerns for the town. I hear at least 3 times a day “oh no not Camelford, it’s terrible & really run down. Very rough.” Am I right in thinking there is s parish meeting this week? We really must get a plan together before properties here are worth a fraction of what they were.
Next Council meeting is 6th October, however the Council can only discuss items which are published on the agenda in advance. You can see agendas at least 5 days before meetings.

Regarding Cornwall Council offloading their responsibility for the Camelford Library. The council tax payers of Camelford will have to pay about £25 to £30 per year to keep the library open. But if you live outside Camelford the library is free.
I have spoken to Cllr George Brown sometime ago and informed him that Cornwall Council has a duty to keep the library open.
I was informed by him that they had to make cuts due to government cuts to local government.
But I disagree with his interpretation of the cause.
You see Cornwall Council have wasted money in the past. For example.
1. Council Offices in Bodmin cost over £18 million.
2. Planting trees in Pool whicjh all died at a cost of £100,000
3. Various bus lanes which turned out unsuitable and some one way systems.
4. decisions reversed at a great cost ; the beach huts at Bude costing close to £1 million. So why shoud we at Camelford have to pay for thier mistakes.
Please read these comments at your next meeting.
Thank you for your comments. I will pass this to Cllr Rob Rotchell in the Clerk’s absence. Kind regards.
